arariusium

We're arariusium

Here's what happened. Back in 2019, a financial analyst and an accountant were sitting in a Rockhampton café, both frustrated with how financial advice was being delivered to Queensland businesses. Too much jargon. Not enough clarity. Clients left meetings more confused than when they arrived.

So we started arariusium with a straightforward idea: explain financial data in plain terms that business owners can actually use. No pretending we have magic formulas. No guarantees about doubling revenue. Just honest analysis that helps you see your options more clearly.

Six years later, we're still doing exactly that. The team's grown. Our methods have improved. But the core hasn't changed—we translate financial complexity into practical business sense.

What Drives Our Work

These aren't values we came up with in a workshop. They're how we actually work with clients every day.

Clarity Over Complexity

Financial data is complicated enough without adding unnecessary layers. We strip away the fluff and focus on what matters for your specific situation. Sometimes that means showing you three viable options instead of overwhelming you with fifteen theoretical scenarios.

Honest Limitations

We're not fortune tellers. Market conditions change. Unexpected things happen. When we don't know something, we say so. When analysis points to uncertainty, we acknowledge it rather than pretending we can predict the future with perfect accuracy.

Practical Application

Beautiful spreadsheets mean nothing if you can't use them. Every analysis we deliver includes clear next steps and realistic timeframes. We explain not just what the numbers show, but what you might consider doing about them.

Who You'll Work With

Small team. Real experience. No junior analysts learning on your account. When you work with arariusium, you're working directly with people who've been doing this for years.

Devlin Cartwright, Lead Financial Analyst at arariusium

Devlin Cartwright

Lead Financial Analyst

Spent twelve years working across mining and agriculture sectors in Central Queensland. Knows what keeps business owners up at night because those were the questions I was asking myself when running a small consultancy firm. Holds a CPA and still takes continuing education seriously—market dynamics shift, and I'd rather stay current than rely on outdated models.

Shivani Thornberg, Business Strategy Consultant at arariusium

Shivani Thornberg

Business Strategy Consultant

Former accountant who got tired of just reporting numbers. Started asking clients what the numbers actually meant for their decisions. Turns out, that's where the real work begins. Specializes in helping businesses understand cash flow patterns and seasonal variations—particularly useful for Queensland's tourism and agricultural sectors.

2019

Started Small

Two consultants, five clients, and a shared office space. Focused on getting the approach right before worrying about scaling up. Those first clients still work with us today.

2022

Expanded Services

Added scenario modeling and risk assessment capabilities. Started working with mid-sized businesses facing more complex decisions around expansion and capital investment.

2025

Refined Focus

Now working with businesses across Queensland and northern New South Wales. Still keeping the team deliberately small to maintain quality and direct client relationships.

Let's Talk About Your Situation

No sales pitch. No obligation. Just a conversation about whether we're a good fit for what you need.
